Bankroll management is the most important skill for any casino player. Without proper money management, even the best strategies won't save you.
The 5% Rule
Never risk more than 5% of your total bankroll on a single session. For a $500 bankroll, each session should have a $25 limit.
Session Limits
- Win Limit: Stop when you've won 20-30% of your session bankroll
- Loss Limit: Stop when you've lost 30-40% of your session bankroll
- Time Limit: Set a time limit (1-2 hours per session)
Bet Sizing
Your bet size should never exceed 5% of your session bankroll. With a $100 session bankroll, maximum bet is $5.
Never Chase Losses
Increasing bets to recover losses is the fastest path to ruin. Stick to your plan and walk away when you hit your limits.
